christmas.....

We had such a great Christmas this year. We kept it small and simple and it was perfect! Christmas Eve we got to go to Ben and Lorena's for dinner. It was SO yummy! I love this picture of them....maybe it's because Ben looks so much like my dad!

Brenna loved every minute of it......can you tell?

After dinner we took a detour to Christmas street. Brenna kept saying "Ooh, pitty lights!" We had a good time....
Then we came home and opened one gift, which was pajamas with ballerina's on them.

Christmas morning we slept in til 8:15 am and Brenna got busy opening her gifts. She got a carseat tray/table, cookie making set, clothes, some cars, and Madagascar 2 (or Madagascago in Brenna language.)....

After that we head back out to Salt Lake to open gifts with the Wentworth's. But first a little 'uh oh' from the back seat....
Nice. A little chapstick all over her face....

That night we headed back out to my mom's to play games. We had such a good time and didn't leave there til about 9:30 that night. It was a long day......as you will soon see.

....she was bouncing off the walls! Notice the chocolate all over her face. What can I say, the kid LOVES m&m's!
We had a fun filled Christmas this year. Thanks to all our family and friends out there :) we love you.
And no Christmas post would be complete without a Christmas story of the true meaning of Christmas......

The Wentworth's always do some sort of service during the holiday season. So this year they gave us $100 and told us that we could do whatever we wanted with it, but we had to do some sort of service with it.
We headed over to the DI to see if we could spot a family that deserved this money. I was eyeing two small kids in the toy aisle, but didn't see their parents anywhere. I waited around to see if anybody claimed them, but there they sat playing with toy after toy.
Ross came over and told me to take a look at this couple with a baby in the cart, so we followed them around the store for 20 minutes. Later the two boys that I had been watching came over to them. I said "This is the family."
Ross went over to talk to the husband when he was finally alone. His name was Fransisco and graciously accepted the money. I wish I could have seen his face when Ross told him what we were giving him. I couldn't, cause I knew I would've started crying. :)

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas as well and even better New Year.

making cookies.....

Great Grandma Rosser had us all over to make sugar cookies the other day. We used to go over there every year and help her make cookies when we were younger. Now our kids get to do the same! It was really fun and the kids had a good time.

These two are becoming inseperable....

Brenna ate more of the dough than anything. Oh, but it's SO good!

Thanks Grandma, we love you!

bored....

We've been cooped up inside since it turned cold. Brenna's bored....I think.

She even brought Allie into it.

Seems like they enjoyed themselves :)
