thanksgiving/christmas....

My sister Lindsey and her family came into town for Thanksgiving. So we decided to have our family Christmas party while they were here. We had so much fun eating, laughing, chasing babies, stopping fights, more eating and playing games.

Here are the kids opening up their presents from Grandma Rosser...

Ross is too excited
...and this kid. Can't get enough!

Every year it's a war between the guys to see how long it takes for one of them to open (or find!) their gifts. This year Brett had Jase. Brett froze his gift in ice, then buried it under snow. Loved.every.minute.
and we also had our family pics taken. This is the best I have of these 2 crazies.

You heard her right. Brenna is going to be a big sister in June 2011. We are thrilled and so thankful everything is going great!

Merry Christmas!

halloween 2010.....

We had such a fun Halloween this year!

We had our first ever pumpkin carving contest in my family this year. And let me tell you, the competition was fierce. We weren't allowed to see each others pumpkins, but I totally knew what Ben and Lorena were going to do :)

The kids got to decorate some cookies , while the adults carved.
So these are our final products. Ben and Lorena carved Dwight Schrute. Hewletts carved Capt. Hook. And we did Lionel Richie, and when we presented it, we played the song "Hello" to go with it. It was pretty funny. And Ross may have danced.
And every year the Wentworth's carve pumpkins. And B really wanted in on the action.
And we carved Spongebob.
This is what Brenna was for Halloween this year. If you know Brenna, then you'll know that this outfit describes her perfectly. She loves to 'fly' to the rescue. These pictures are of her posing as SuperGirl.
Halloween day we headed over to our ward Halloween party. Where she got her fingernail painted like a pumpkin.....

...played musical chairs and went fishing. It was really fun. And can I just say, I am loving our new ward. Everyone is SO nice and welcoming. I have made some really great friends :)

Then that night, we headed over to Great Gma Rosser's house where she always makes the kids treats. They love it. Here is B and baby Bradley. We had to get a pic with just them cause they're both super heroes :) Look how tiny he still is. I want to eat him.
And then one with all the kids. Of course Brenna and Coley would be posing.
Happy Halloween!!

Brenna....

Brenna will be 3 in January. She tells me this a lot.
I just wanted to write down a few things about her so I don't forget them.

Nicknames: B, Nenna, Nens, Boo, Booberry, Bwenna (as she would say :)

Best friends: Daddy, sometimes mommy and Coley

Favorite movie right now: Princess and the Frog....but she makes me fast forward it when the Shadowman comes on.....

Favorite color: red

Favorite toys: Buzz Lightyear and Lego blocks

Favorite food right now: Corn dogs

Favorite sayings: "NO, I don't want to do that!"
                           "Are we weddy to go?"
                           "I want to see Hallie/Coley"
"Go Mommy, Go!" (when we're driving in the car)

We are trying to potty train, but without success. Sometimes she'll sit on the toilet and pee, then the next time she won't even want to go in the bathroom. She'll tell me as she's peeing in her diaper, that she has gone pee pee. {SIGH}  I know she'll eventually get it, but it's a struggle everyday.

She knows her birthday is in January and that she'll be three years old. She tells me that she wants a party with balloons and her friends. When I ask her what she wants for her birthday she says a hat. Hmmm, that can be arranged :)

She likes to growl at other kids that she doesn't know. I can always find her in McDonald's playland cause she'll be growling at a kid trying to get past her.

She loves nursery and her friends in there. They bring the nursery kids into primary to sing a few songs, and since I'm in the primary I get to see her interact and listen to the music leader. It's really fun. They were talking about families because they were getting ready to sing the family song. The music leader tells the kids to put their finger on their nose if they love their moms, put their finger on their ear if they love their dads...etc. They got to brothers and sisters, then Brenna yells out " I WANT A BABY SISTER!" Every head turns around to me. What?! I know that wasn't my sweet, shy daughter! Oh, but it was. Crap.

We love this kid so much. Life sure isn't boring with her around. She is always making us laugh with the funny and crazy things she says!

temple....

For FHE last night, we took B to see Temple Square. Every time we drive out to Bountiful she tells me that she can see the temple. But in actuality, it's the Capital Building :) So we let her walk around and we told her about the temple. She said it's 'really tall' and that she could see 'Angel Nononi' (Moroni).

And of course she loved the water....

we walked up the steps and she knocked on the door. "No one's home, but Jesus lives in there" :)
I don't know what it is about the Salt Lake Temple, but I feel at home. Maybe it's the fact that my siblings and I were sealed to our parents there. Or I married Ross there. There's just something special about it. And of course it makes me think of my dad and how much I miss him.
This morning when I was reading my scriptures I read this in Mosiah..."But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ."
Ah....just what I needed.

party of the century.....

We celebrated Hallie and Cole's birthday the other night. Annie went all out since they combined the both birthdays into one night. It was such a fun night, and Brenna LOVED it. (I should give credit to Lindsey cause she came up with the idea :)

B spent most of the night in the bounce house with Coley.

they even had a photo booth so the kids could dress up. Here's the birthday girl. And Brenna down below. Can you tell that she loved dressing up?!

....even daddy and Gma Rosser got in on the dress up action :) Such a fun night! Thanks Hewlett's!
