christmas 2011....

We had such a great Christmas this year. We're so thankful for our wonderful blessings and our family and friends. It's always such a busy time, but we love seeing all of our loved ones.

Christmas Eve we had the Wentworth's over to make pizzas. I made the pizza dough and everyone brought some toppings to share. I think it was a hit, and hopefully will be become a new tradition.

Brenna slept in until 8 Christmas morning, which was so nice! She found that Santa had indeed been there because he ate the brownie she left him and all of the carrots for the reindeer's were gone. Santa left her a note that said she had been a nice little girl this year, but she still needs to listen to her mom and dad. Ha!
Santa was good to us this year. Brenna got a lot of fun stuff. The Batcave, a tool set, a unicorn PillowPet, Rockstar Mickey, a Cars 2 track and a big girl bike. To sum up Brenna, her big girl bike box said it all.....'16 inch Boys Roadster Bike'. Haha! She loves boy stuff, what can I say?
Maya just sat in her Bumbo and screamed the whole time. (video below!) She was so excited she couldn't stand it! She got Topsy Tumblers, a toy to hang on her car seat, puff cereal to eat, and lots of toys she can put in her mouth.
Ooh, I could just eat her.
After our sacrament meeting, we headed up to my mom's to open more gifts. I love my family and being with them. We have so much fun together...and let's not forget my mom's omelets...Oh man, they were SO good! After that we headed to the Wentworth's to be with them for the afternoon. I also love my in laws! They are such kind and giving people. Had such a great day with all of our families.
here's a video of Maya screaming. When she gets excited this is what she does. Enjoy.

Merry Christmas!

thanksgiving 2011

This year for Thanksgiving we spent it with the Wentworth's. They rented a house in Park City (well, in Silver Summit which is 5 minutes away...).
I have to be honest.....
I really wasn't excited about it. Packing up the kids, packing up the food to cook up there, sleepless nights....

But we had a blast. The house we rented was amazing!! Each room had their own bathroom. There was a theater room, a pool table, a hot tub, and an awesome kitchen.
We took the master bedroom downstairs :) which came with a walk in closet. So that's where Maya slept. And she slept well, let me tell you. Brenna slept down the hall with Lily in a bunk bed. Lil was on top and Brenna was on the bottom. Sure it was a struggle every night to get her to go to bed. But she had the time of her life.

The food was great! Here's B helping stuff the turkey...

Love this girl.
And this one too...
Daddy took B sledding. That's all she would talk about!! We had to buy her new snow gear (which she loved!) just so she could sled with Dad. What a great daddy.
playing with Aunt Teresa. she's so good with Brenna!!
her new snow gear. It's shocking to me that she chose pink :)
So, this Thanksgiving was a great one. We have so much to be thankful for this year. We're so blessed.

halloween 2011

We were so excited for Halloween this year. Brenna was BatGirl (or as she would call it BatmanGirl) and Maya was a bumblebee.

We stopped by daddy's work and went Trick or Treating to his coworkers. She even got $1 from his boss.
Then we headed out to Bountiful to see Grandma Rosser and Great Grandma Rosser. GG Rosser always has a couple of goodie bags to give each of them.
Maya caught a cold, so her eyes were sad and red :(
Then we stopped by the Wentworth's for chili and scones, our favorite tradition.
We had a busy, busy day. But so much fun!

pic taken with my phone
And here is a picture of Brenna's preschool class all dressed up. Her friend Emery is dressed up as a princess riding a unicorn. HA! love it.
Happy halloween!

pumpkin patch....

We took the girl's to Mabey's Pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago.
Brenna loved it.

And Maya was just along for the ride.

4 months...

Maya at 4 months.

I love this little girl. So much.

She is getting so big. She now wears 6 month clothing, sometimes 9 months.
She is starting to drool a lot, and spit.
Starting to try and grab things and gets really excited when toys are in front of her face.
Loves her bouncer and bumbo.
Still no binki, but loves her fingers and sometimes mom's cheek.

3 months.....

3 months have almost come and gone :)

Maya is now almost 4 months. Ugh. Sorry I'm so far behind.

Here are some pictures....

She loves to suck on her finger, especially the middle one.
She loves to 'sing' (video of that to come)
Is a huge momma's girl
Can soothe herself to sleep

She is bald.
She has blue eyes like her sister.
Is wearing 6 month clothing.
Still gets the Cradle Cap. Yuck.
Looks like my Grandpa Moore :)

This kid loves to smile and giggle. She's usually pretty happy (if mom's around).

We can't believe she's almost 4 months. She goes in to the doctor this week for her check-up so I will be posting her stats later.
Ooh, I love this kid.

preschool.....

Brenna started preschool on Tues Sept. 6th at Mrs. Debbie's. She was very excited to go and be a big girl. And mom was excited for her to go and be with other kids.
If you asked her what she was going to learn she would say "ABC's and counting'.
So far, she is loving it.

Brenna and Mrs. Debbie

Brenna and her friend Emery. So glad she has a friend that she already knows in her class!
Brenna, you're such a big girl now. We're so proud of you and love you very much!

labor day.....

Headed down to St. George for Labor Day.

We have sure missed that place.
We swam...

..played a little Playstation...
..and relaxed. (as much relaxing as you can do with 2 kids!) Seriously, this one didn't sleep very well at night down there.
Look at her. All innocent looking like she doesn't know what I'm talking about.
I'm onto you missy.
And swimming wouldn't be complete without Brenna's Lightning McQueen swimsuit.

Yes, we know that it's a boy's suit.

And yes, she LOVES it. (Good thing it's a 3T and getting too small :)
This kid knows what she likes and there's no telling her otherwise.

*sigh*
Miss Maya wanted in on the swimming action too. She loved the water and was smiling and giggling pretty much the whole time.
Which was 10 minutes.
Oh, I love that face.
We love you St. George. Hopefully we'll see you again real soon.

2 months.....

Maya is now 2 months. Each day just gets better and better with her. No more fussiness. Yay!
I love this stage, when she"ll recognize you and smile. She has the feeding part down (and so do I).
She's starting to 'talk' and giggle. She gets her excited face when I lay her on the Boppy, cause she knows what's coming :)
She is such a love. She'll burrow into my arm when I'm rocking her to sleep for cuddles. Mmm, how I love cuddle bunnies.
Overall, I am enjoying her. what a difference a month makes :)

She is sleeping really well at night. Sometimes it's only 4 hours, but most of the time she'll go 6-7 hours. I wish she'd take longer naps in the day, but I'd rather have a good night's sleep :)

Sitting in the Bumbo....

..look at this head.
And Maya with big sister. Brenna is always laying by her and talking to her. I think they'll be best buddies.

Stats:
Weight: 11 lbs 8 oz
Height: 23.75 inches

Love you baby sister!

summer in a nutshell.....

We've stayed busy this summer. My sister Lindsey came into town with her family, so we were always traveling out to Bountiful to soak up as much time with them as possible. It's always fun to have them here!

Every year we have Midvale Harvest Days. And they have a parade that goes right down our street. Brenna missed it last year cause she was sleeping over at my moms. So this year was her first year, and she loved it.
It's just a small, simple one. But we get tons of candy.

My mom rented a bounce/water house for the kids...actually we did it for Noah's birthday, but the kids loved it so much we did it again :) Even the adults got in on the action, but I'll spare you the pics.

..even Maya enjoyed it!

And we decided since Noah was going to be in town that we would have the kids take swim lessons together. But Noah was in the beginner class, and B and Coley were in the 2nd level class. But for sure next year they'll be together since B and Coley didn't pass their level. Ha!

Busy, busy summer. We're sad to see it go so soon!
