better.....

This picture sums it up. Here she is wearing her favorite shirt with a big cheesy smile.
Finally, I feel like we're back on track. I guess I just needed to vent my frustrations until things got better :) Thanks for all of your encouraging words, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has months days like these.

Still going through the potty training. Her pediatrician gave me a few new ideas to try, so we'll see if B will be potty trained by the end of February. Or sooner. Fingers crossed.

Night terrors have stopped...for now. I don't know if they'll make another appearance, but for now, I'm enjoying my sleep. When she wakes up in the morning she'll tell me "Hey mom, I sleeped good lastnite." Sigh, yes you did! She did wake up last night, and I was nervous. But when I went in there she said "No thanks, mom." (that's what I tell her to say to me or Ross when she doesn't want/like something we do). I was so happy that she didn't scream at me.....

Today she is getting her cavity filled. This is the one I'm most nervous about. I have been a dental assistant for 10 years now, but it's different when it's your own kid. I'm now that mom who holds her kids hand and coddles them. I can't help it. Hopefully this will be her one and only cavity. Unless she has her dads teeth. HA!

Last night when I was putting her down, she was being really silly. And she just wouldn't settle down. So I told her that mommy would have to leave if she didn't stop. So she hugged me and said, "Don't go mommy. Stay with me." So I stayed. Then she took my face in her hands and said, "I love these cheek cheeks." Then she laughed really hard. So I started laughing. We stayed that way for about 5 minutes, and each time she said something ( I love these eye eyes!), or laughed I took a mental picture. Like on the episode of The Office when Jim and Pam get married...
I hope I can remember these moments. These are the moments I hope to look back on and smile about when she's a teenager and wants nothing to do with me :)

So, yes, things are getting better over here. Slowly, but surely we'll get there.
