b's dance recital

Brenna had her dance recital on June 21st. She was a pumpkin in Cinderella. I took the video above at the actual recital, then when I got home I saw on the program that it said "No photos or videos"

Oops. I was wondering why nobody had their camcorders out :)

She was nervous, but she did really well.

After the recital we stopped at 7 eleven for a slurpee, cause Daddy promised her if she did her dance she could have one:)

maya turns one.....

My baby turned one on June 13th. And we had a 'milk and cookies' party the next night for her. We had both of our families there (and Jeanette, Allie, and Zack)
We served home made oreos, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate crinkle cookies, snickerdoodles, and sugar cookies shaped like the letter M. Oh, and home made ice cream. Thanks to Lindsey, Lorena, Megan and my mom for helping out!!

Mymy got a lot of fun stuff! Thanks everyone for your gifts.

My cute aunt Guilma and her boys made Maya a house out of a big box. They even decorated it!! Brenna and all the other kids loved this. It kept them busy most of the night!

brenna graduates from preschool

Brenna graduated from preschool May 23rd. They had a little program at the Murray Library. it was so darn cute! They sang songs, and each kid had a part. Brenna's was:
The time has come
we cannot wait.
The only thing left
is to graduate!
She needed help at first, but she nailed the last 2 lines. Then Ms. Debbie handed their diplomas to them. Here's a couple pics. The first one is B and her BFF Emery. So glad Em has been in her class. They have become good friends and get along so well. And Em has helped Brenna develop her girlie side :)

My favorite part of the program was when they sang Tony Chestnut. I was laughing so hard! Of course my camera battery was running low, so I don't have the whole program. But I'm hoping I can get a copy from my friend.
After the program we met Great Gma Rosser, Gma Rosser, Gma Wentworth, GG Hoyt, and Lessey at Mimi's Cafe for lunch. It was a good morning/afternoon.

easter 2012

Easter this year was a bit hectic. Our sprinkler pipe that connects to our main water pipe eroded which ended up flooding part of our basement. And it was over Easter weekend.
Lovely.
But after Ross worked all day, it's fixed. We just had ALL of our stuff and kids toys crammed into our tv room down there, so we could have the fans to dry up the playroom and hallway.
Anyway, we had a great Easter Sunday. The Easter Bunny hid the girls' baskets around the house. Brenna's was behind the couch. He also brought her a light saber :)

We also colored Easter eggs. Brenna loved it!

And of course Sunday morning she woke up with bad allergies making her eye all red and puffy. Poor kid.

soccer

I signed Brenna up for soccer this spring because she kept telling me how much she wanted to play. So we did it. She had 3 little boys from our ward on her team, so it made it really fun for her. She did pretty well. She scored 2 goals. She would stand by the goal, so when the ball would make it over to her she would just kick it in.
It was pretty awesome, though. And she was pretty excited.
Her team was the Rhino's, and she was #7.
Overall, I'd say it was a great experience and Brenna had a lot of fun!

what's going on.....

I'm finally catching up!! To my 4 readers of this blog, I apologize. I have TONS of pictures in my camera from over the last few months and I finally got around to editing and publishing them. Hooray.

So, some things that are going on over here...let's see.......not much :)

Brenna: is getting so big and tall. And her hair is getting long. She says she wants to cut it short "in the springtime"....well, it is now springtime and I'm not sure if I want it cut. Most days it's a mess, but on school days and Sundays she'll let me do it.
We just signed her up for soccer, which will begin in a few weeks. She is also taking dance lessons and she is loving it. She has her recital on June 21st. It's Cinderella and her age group is going to be pumpkins (when the fairy godmother turns the pumpkin to the carriage) It's a really cute dance, and it's so fun to watch her do it.
She is still loving preschool and sunbeams. It's amazing the things she remembers from class. She's pretty smart, if I do say so myself :)

She is a great big sister and a big helper. Most mornings when I'm still trying to get out of bed, Brenna is in Maya's room talking to her and they'll laugh together....oh, it melts my heart.
She is still as sassy as ever. That's Brenna for you :)

Maya: This one....
She is at such a fun stage right now. She's not crawling yet (SO close!), and she's just happy. She does get in the crawling position and starts rocking back and forth, but then she'll flop to her belly. It's gonna happen soon, and it makes me a little sad. She is growing up way too fast, and I'm not sure I like it.

She is such a love. She loves to snuggle with her blanket (her deedee) and Brenna's teddy bear. She'll even give her toys 'kisses' if I tell her to.

She loves to eat. Mostly what I'm eating. Her favorite finger foods right now are bananas, peaches, bread, Nutri-Grain bars, noodles, peas, carrots and sweet potatoes. And she loves graham crackers. If I ask her if she wants a 'cookie' (graham crackers) she lights up and gets excited.

She loves to point at things and touch everything. She loves turning off light switches.She loves reading books and taking baths.

I feel like this kid understands what I'm saying to her and we communicate pretty well...for the most part :)
She does have a sassy side like her sister. If you take something away from her that she is playing with, you'd better watch out. She gets 'chatty' when she's tired. She loves to scream for no reason at all. Drives me nuts, but Brenna loves it. There should be a video at the bottom.....

overall, this baby girl is the best. She eats well, sleeps even better and has us all in love with her.

This picture with her Valentine's outfit on, reminds me of my sister Lindsey. Mymy looks so much like her in this.....anyone else think so?

We got to watch Coley for a week while his parents went on vacation. Brenna was in heaven! Poor Coley probably wanted to go home on more than one occasion. He got sick one night and threw up 3 times. Poor guy. But he bounced back :)
