I was recently blog stalking and came across a blog that did Memory Mondays. I thought that was such a fun idea! To reminisce about something that you haven't thought about in years. So here is my MM that I have recently remembered. *this will probably be my one and only MM, because I'm just not that kind of blogger :)*
Ross and I were flipping through the channel guide the other day and Ross said "I bet you loved this show when you were younger."
It was Newsies. *sigh* He knows me SO well!
I'm sure most of you have seen this show and have memorized all of the words to the songs and the moves to the dances. I have, I'm hoping you have too otherwise I'll feel pretty dumb! I remember in 6th grade sleeping over at our friend Christina's house, staying up until 6 am singing the songs and dancing the dances. Then making crepes! We also sang and danced to "King of New York" for our junior high choir class. Good times.
I loved Jack Kelly.
But for some reason I loved Spot more.
Looking at him now, I'm not sure why :)

ok molly really needs to see this post!! we did a newsies dance at our old studio and we were paper boys and had newspapers, it was a really big number and was so much fun to do. my kids now watch this movie. i am still completely in love with christian bale (swoon!!!) i have a picture of him hanging up. my husband is a very understanding man.
I am right there with you!!! Love, Love LOVE that movie! Spot is by far the hottest. I still get chills when I see him :). What a fun idea about "MM". Can't wait to see what you come up with every week!
I was thinking about this movie the other night. I remember how crazy you and your friends were over this movie.

Oh how I loved Spot! Yes, those were good times and I love that I have that exact same memory! Mark thinks I'm such a dork for knowing all the songs to that movie, it was the best!! Fun idea!
I was seriously in love with Brooklyn for like 6 years! I still think about him now and then! I love that movie!

Ryan's nickname his freshman year of college was brooklyn because he looked so much like spot (who's the leader of the brooklyn newsies). And it's so true, I've seen pictures of younger, longer haired Ryan and He totally looks like him!

at all these comments and your funny post...my sister Amy and I watched newsies for 3 straight days when it came out and sang and danced our hearts out too! She was OBSESSED with Spot...but not me...i thought he was the skinny wimp and Jack Kelly was my hero! And still is..I really loved Batman b/c of him! So anyway...it was so fun to see you and Annie...good times...good times....love you guys!
p.s...you know you are a true newsies fan if you have watched until the end of the credits and see that little guy in the air fall down on the street! Its too funny...
